Thanks to our sponsors JSP and Heathrow our charity Pro-Am breaks new records raising over £25,000.
A huge thanks to the construction team at Heathrow for their joint sponsorship of this event and giving us their support. 92 golfers from the industry attended the event and they were matched up with 24 Southern PGA professionals to make up this 5 Ball Pro-Am classic. The sun did make an appearance but minus the tropical climates. However, as they say dry golfers are happy golfers.
The players competed on the prestigious Bernard Hunt course which was in perfect condition and there certainly was an outbreak of great golf by certain individuals.
On the course we had many competitions and few golfers managed to beat our female professional Zara Houchin at our famous “beat the birdie” hole. As well as showing great skill at the long par 3, Zara managed to snap up all the team photos
The staff at Foxhills looked after us well and after early evening drinks on the terrace there followed a delicious and welcoming 3 course supper with hilarious entertainment from the famous comic Ian Irving.
In the end the charity was the big winner. Thanks to JSP and their Lighthouse Catalogue Mark Johnstone, their CEO presented a cheque for over £13,461 to the charity.
This generous donation from JSP coupled by the terrific support from Tim Houghton, the Strategic Programmes Director and Alan Sable, the Health and Safety Manager at Heathrow who co-ordinated the participation from their contractors and suppliers, the overall event was a huge success raising over £25,000 for the charity.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all our sponsors and to the teams that participated and contributed to the raffle and look forward to welcoming you all back next year on 23rd May 2019 see here for more details and early booking
